K-pop’s New generation, VERIVERY, once again topped the Billboard chart. In October last year, VERIVERY, which has achieved No. 1 on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart with ‘G.B.T.B,’ was not satisfied with its one success and continued to prepare to target overseas markets.
On the 2nd, VERIVERY released their single ‘SERIES ‘O’ [ROUND 1: HALL]’, which marks the beginning of their new episode, and announced that it would be a different VERIVERY than before. It received a lot of attention shortly after its release, reaching YouTube views of 15M in just six days. On 4 March, Forbes interviewed VERIVERY about the new single out, and the Q&A, which launched a new episode, was released. Many people who watched this series began to pay attention to the future direction of the series and VERIVERY’s moves, talking about the response to the Pandemic as an artist and the things that many people are curious about this series.
Another reason to note them was that they made the second page of Billboard Bulletin, which is subscribed to by Billboard officials. It was also tremendous in the K-pop industry that VERIVERY decorated as a K-pop artist in this place where the Grammy Awards contain information of nominated or award-winning artists.
As a result, VERIVERY topped the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart on March 16. It was surprising. Of course, it’s hard to get the top spot on the chart, but a more incredible achievement was to make a debut on the chart twice in a row. VERIVERY proved that topping the chart achieved last October is also not luck, with new concepts, episodes, and music. They have crossed a wall that even previously famous K-pop artists could not overcome. Forbes once again announced on March 17 that K-pop artists, who made a strong impression on overseas fans such as BTS and Blackpink, had begun to target overseas markets with good results on the chart and that VERIVERY was also a new k-pop generation that challenged them. Many fans are also curious about how their new series will unfold and how they look forward to their full-length album.
